Firm Finds 2.9 Billion Pounds Of Copper In Ghantsi

Junior mineral explorer, Hana Mining, reported on Monday last week that its latest drilling results have shown an inferred resource of 2.9 billion pounds of copper and 51.5 million ounces of silver at its Ghantsi Copper-Silver deposit.

The company, which is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada and is listed on the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange) Venture Exchange and the Frankfurt Exchange, announced the results after the completion of an independent National Instrument (NI 43-101) compliant inferred resource estimate for the Ghantsi deposit, which looked at close to 163.5 million tonnes of concentrate.

This resource estimate is based largely on a 15-month drilling programme that included 98 core holes totalling 15,000 metres and 50 RC holes totalling 6,600 metres, the company said in an e-mailed statement.
