Eskimos artist scales the business ladder

FRANCISTOWN: Kabo Mmolawa, 27, is popularly known as Zynna to most kwaito music lovers. But he has chosen to use the ESKIMOS name as the brand to catapult him to greater heights of entrepreneurship.

When the challenges of life seemed to conquer Mmolawa, his passion for business also grew bigger, prompting him to find ways of making his life more comfortable. Mmolawa revealed in an interview with Business Monitor that he then compiled a business plan and approached the Department of Youth for funding, but was thrice rejected in three years.

"It was only last year after I managed to come up with a better business idea that the department approved to fund me to the tune of P100, 000," Mmolawa revealed. With that amount Mmolawa launched his own company called Cool Eskimo Ice, which  manufactures fruit juices, mineral-water and ice pops.  He said that they import ingredients from South Africa while his company does the mixing and packaging before selling to the public.
