DRC Mines Minister visits

A Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) delegation headed by that country's Minister of Mines, Martin Kabwelulu, is due in Botswana tomorrow for interaction with local mining and minerals' industry stakeholders.

Minerals, Energy and Water Resources Minister, Ponatshego Kedikilwe, and other senior officials, are expected to host Kabwelulu and his delegation during the visit, which includes a visit to the Diamond Trading Company Botswana and Jwaneng Mine.

In mineral quantity and diversity, the DRC is among the continent's leaders with established resources of copper, gold, diamond, lithium, zinc, cobalt, manganese and others. The country has several public, private and parastatal entities actively involved in the mining industry, as well as numerous others at various stages of exploration and development.
