Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) boss, Myra Sekgororoane has said the industry can be boosted further if the skies are liberalised to make travel to domestic tourism hotspots simple and smooth.

"Smooth access to tourist destinations is an added advantage to the industry players, as visitors can easily reach these destinations without encountering travel difficulties," she said.

She cited the Tuli Block as an example, which has good facilities for tourism but has access problems because no flights go there. "Licensing operators in those routes will do tourism good, as tourists will find it easy to access such places," she said.
