DHL leverages on brand loyalty

With its worldwide footprint, DHL says it will take full advantage of its widely known brand to leverage on the relocation of the De Beers diamond sales to Gaborone from London.

Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, DHL country general manager, Mokgethi Magapa said the relocation means a boost for the diamond trade and the hospitality and transport industry.

“We have to be competitive as a country, people all over the world have their own idea of Botswana, hence we have to move up to the platter to better service and benefit from the relocation of the diamond hub,” said Magapa. He stated that the reputation of DHL as an internationally recognised brand might influence traders to engage the company.
