DCEC audits PPADB

The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) will undertake an assessment of processes and practices within the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) to identify corruption loopholes within the organisation.

PPADB executive chairperson, Bridget John, announced the forthcoming assessment at a workshop this week, revealing that it would take place this month.

"Any lessons learnt from this exercise will be useful for the committees of the board to establish water-tight systems," she said. "The board is very concerned that as one of the institutions created to promote good governance, PPADB is expected to instil public confidence in the entire system."
