China delegation explores business opportunities

A 29-member Chinese business delegation was in Botswana recently to explore business opportunities.

At a luncheon for the delegation, the president of the Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM), Alex Monchusi briefed the delegates about Botswana's favourable business environment; the relatively low corporate tax of 15 percent for manufacturing companies and laws that provide for a full repatriation of profits and dividends abroad by foreign firms operating in Botswana.

He said that government recognises BOCCIM as representatives of the interest of the entire private sector.
