FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Chamber of Mines (BCM) will this week hold a two-day closed door general meeting for its members,

The meeting, which begins on Thursday, will be held at Tati River Lodge.Speaking with The Monitor, BCM Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Charles Siwawa said next week's meeting is to seek ideas and strategies from its membership."We regularly engage in meetings with our members to source ideas on how we can take the chamber forward to best serve them. Next week's meet is one of those meetings.

We will also issue progress reports on various operations of the chamber to our members during the two-day gathering, " Siwawa said.Still on Thursday, the chamber will host an award ceremony and dinner where select mines will be recognised for their efforts in the areas of safety and occupational health.
