CEDA Venture Fund flourishes

Over 1,200 jobs have been created through the CEDA Venture Capital Fund (CVCF) since its inception in 2003.

The fund, which is worth P200 million and is being managed by Venture Partners Botswana (VPB), has benefited 18 companies as of June 30, 2007.

The CVCF is a subsidiary of the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency(CEDA), which is mandated by Government  to support and promote citizen entrepreneurship.
Speaking at a press conference in Gaborone yesterday, VPB Managing Director Anthony Siwawa said the fund has a double bottom line - development and profit-making.
