Can Botswana rival Dubai as a diamond centre?

In just under 10 years, the DMCC, which opened in 2002, the Dubai diamond centre has seen diamonds coming their way rising to $39 billion in 2011, from a mere $5million in 2002.
This is where Botswana Minerals, Energy and Water resources Minister Kitso Mokaila and his team are visiting this week to learn a few diamond benefaction tricks as Dubai hosts the 2013 Diamond conference.
