The rollout of the Brand Botswana public education campaign that began towards the end of last year has proved successful despite hiccups such as rain, an official has said.

Deputy director of Botswana Brand, Ludo Mokotedi, said that initially the targeted areas to be reached were 90 but this was later increased to 100. "We have now reached more than 50 percent of our target area even though we increased the number of places," she said.

She added the road shows are proceeding very well. She said though the tours were largely successful, a few problems were experienced, mainly because of the weather.  "We were forced to cancel two shows because it was raining. The rains have been our main challenge," she explained. Mokotedi said the Brand Botswana team shows have continued despite the rain in some venues, with people getting captivated by musician Vee and the educational dramas.
