Botswana's economy seen growing by 5.4% in 2010

Botswana's economic growth will return to positive territory this year, after last year's decline, boosted by higher diamond demand and a recovery in consumer spending, a Reuters poll showed on Monday.

The land-locked southern Africa nation is in the same commodity-reliant league of African nations that suffered from the global slowdown.

A poll of 10 analysts forecast Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will rise by a median of 5.4 percent this year before slowing down to 4.7 in 2011. Projections ranged from 3 to 7 percent.
