Botswana ranked 4th in global risk survey

Botswana has been ranked fourth in a global assessment of countries' risk profiles for resource sector investment.

An Australian media research group, Resource Stocks, this week unveiled the 2009 World Risk Survey according to which Botswana has maintained its stellar position among the top ten least risky environments for resource sector investment.

The annual survey canvasses the perceptions and opinions of company executives, requiring them to rate all countries' risk profiles across ten categories that include Financial Risk, Sovereign Risk, Green Tape, Land Claims, Red Tape, Infrastructure, Civil Unrest, Natural Disasters and Labour Unrest.
