Botswana leads Africa in gender equality

Botswana has been ranked 7th in the Global Survey of Women in Senior Corporate Management by the annual Experian(r) Grant Thornton International Business Report (IBR).

The survey findings, released on the eve of International Women's Day, showed that three quarters of Botswana companies have women in senior management positions, while just under a third of all senior management positions in the country were occupied by women.

But,  in terms of international rankings, the findings placed Botswana in 9th position for percentage of companies with senior female managers.
