Botswana invests in pontoons for Zambezi crossing

Botswana is acquiring two pontoons for use to sail across the Zambezi River that forms a natural boundary between Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Over the years, Zambia has been the only country providing pontoons or ferryboats to cross the mighty Zambezi.

The Zambian government currently runs two pontoons with a capacity for one articulated truck, four small vehicles and people.
