Bokamoso raises funds for cancer student

The Bokamoso Community Junior Secondary School in Gaborone is raising funds for one of its students, Ompetse Mogwera who has been diagnosed with cancer of lymphnodes.

The Form Two student was diagnosed with the life threatening disease early this year. Since then the school has formed a voluntary committee to raise funds for his medication.

The secretary of the committee and teacher at the school, Tebogo Kenabatho said students and staff started raising money immediately after the diagnosis. Initially the students raised slightly over P1,000 while the staff members came up with P1,756. But that was not the end of the exercise as the committee embarked on more fund raising projects.
