BMC wants 20,000 Ngami cattle for Zim

MAUN: The Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) has told a farmers' pitso here that it has secured a market for 20,000 live cattle in Zimbabwe and for 10,000 live cattle in Mozambique.

At least 150 live cattle from Ngamiland and the Okavango had already been transported by road to Bulawayo, the Ngamiland BMC Pitso heard.  

The BMC's livestock procurement manager, Clive Marshall, said the export of breeding stock of 5,000 cattle per year to Angola should soon start.
