BITC renews ties with German investors

The Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) and a German-African Business Association, Africa-Verein this week renewed their 10-year-old Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during an inward investment and trade promotion.

According to Christoph Kannengieber, who led the delegation, both countries worked on the MoU to align it to support each other specifically in terms of promoting trade in each country as well as identify market access.

“The MOU needs to be updated time to time to align it and make it investor friendly between the two countries. This time we had to update it to suite different activities which include areas of cooperation focusing on energy,” said Kannengieber.
