BHC sells 48 sectional titles

The Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) has disposed 48 housing units ever since it started selling sectional titles in 2007. The sectional title arrangement allows people to buy apartments in BHC housing blocks.

The common property in such blocks is jointly owned by sectional title-holders. BHC property sales manager, Gaotlhogwe Baleseng seems to be impressed with the new scheme of selling units in residential flats. The scheme was initiated with 64 units at Block 9 in Gaborone.  The prices for each unit range from P150,000 to P200,000. Some of the units were one bed-roomed apartments.

Baleseng said they started with Block 9 as a pilot project. There are 10 units which are still at the transfer stage. Baleseng said they have received eight valid offers.
