Global Expo 2011 officially commenced yesterday with 200 exhibitors from at least 15 countries displaying their goods and services for a projected total of 6,000 visitors expected at the four-day affair.

Nyirenda said with diversified economies and increased intra-regional trade, SADC would become a more competitive market and gain a stronger voice at international forums. The economies of the region would also become more resilient and therefore better equipped to absorb external shocks, she said.
