The Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority (BEDIA) on Tuesday hosted a business delegation from Angola at GICC and introduced them to the domestic business market for future investment prospects.

The delegation attended a presentation by acting BEDIA CEO, Larmek Nthekela, and had an interactive question-answer session.  Nthekela, who is also the Director for Export Enterprise Development at BEDIA, told the Angolans of Botswana's prime location at the heart of the SADC region that has a population of over 257 million.

He said because of its low crime rate, Botswana was one of the safest countries to do business in on the African continent. "We are the least corrupt economy in Africa and our economy has continued to register positive growth," Nthekela said. "I can confidently assure you that you will not regret starting up businesses here."
