Another price hike as DTC concludes fourth sale

De Beers'marketing arm has announced that increments in the prices of its rough diamonds has hit the 16 percent mark.

Diamond Trading Company (DTC) Botswana said in a statement on Tuesday that the 16 percent cumulative figure included a hike this month caused by strong demand.

DTC has increased prices for rough or unpolished diamonds several times this year.
The company concludes its 4th sale of aggregated rough diamond today. The earlier sales took place in April, June and July this year.
