Following the withdrawal of the disciplinary charges against Air Botswana's general manager (GM), Lulu Rasebotsa, the national airline's board today released a statement announcing her exit with immediate effect.

The newly appointed executive board suspended Rasebotsa back in June this year. She was placed on administrative leave for 30 days, which was then extended.

The troubled GM was later suspended, allegedly on issues of maladministration and misconduct. However, the case was withdrawn by government last week.

“Air Botswana wishes to inform its valued stakeholders, customers and the public that Naomi Leungo Rasebotsa has ceased to hold the position of General Manager with immediate effect,” reads the statement.

Air Botswana announced that Boikanyo Ntwaagae has been appointed the acting GM.

“Boikanyo Ntwaagae will continue to serve as acting general manager as first announced on July 2, 2025, to ensure operational continuity and leadership stability whilst the board initiates the process of appointing the general manager,” the statement reads.

Mmegi previously reached out to Rasebotsa, who declined to comment.
