African Energy has embarked on a campaign to market Botswana coal resources to the Asian market ahead of the company's resumption of mining at its Sese coal project next year.

The company which had a trial coal export of a 25 tonne wagon to Maputo last month, aims to open Botswana's second coal mine next year and immediately start commercial exportation of coal to India and China.

In a statement released this week, the BSE-listed junior coal miner said members of its executive management team have embarked on a roadshow through India and China to promote the Sese project to potential strategic development partners.
