African Diamonds raises cash for AK6

LONDON: African Diamonds PLC says it has raised 2.36 million stg (about P29.3 million), before expenses, through a placing of 1.89 million shares with institutional investors in Botswana.

African Diamonds have a joint venture with De Beers over the AK6 kimberlite around Orapa areas.
"The placing of shares with institutions in Botswana is an important step for African Diamonds. It compliments our Botswana stock exchange listing and the 200 plus Botswana-based shareholders on our share register", chairman John Teeling said.
