'Whispers voices' exhibition opens

Two Botswana-based Indian educators on Friday unveiled an exhibition that explores the themes of spirituality in Botswana and India, as well as the Hindu interconnectedness of the Hindu faith and nature.

Titled 'Whispers Voices', the exhibition opened on Friday night at the Alliance Franaise, Gaborone. One of the artists, Kanni Balasubramanian, an art teacher at Naledi Secondary School, told Showtime that with his pieces, he hopes to get people thinking more about going back to nature and appreciating the simpler things in life.

"Nobody is watching blue skies or flowers blooming, and that's where the real life is.  In today's fast-paced world, we are hungry to cut down trees and to construct skyscrapers all in the search for money," Balusbramanian said.
