Ugandan rapper Obita is coming

The former Gaborone Senior Secondary School (GSSS) student is currently putting the final touches to his next album that is due for release by the end of this month ahead of his show in Gaborone. Obita grew up in Gaborone when his father was a teacher at the capital city's oldest secondary school where he says he honed his rapping skills. WASA's Samantha Ferguson says the Ugandan is thrilled by the prospect of performing in a country he considers his second home.
"Though he is proud of his Ugandan rootstock, Obita is thrilled at the opportunity to come and perform in what he considers his hometown," says Ferguson. "This will be an enriching experience for him." His former classmate at GSS, Tshepiso Galesuping, has featured in his projects, the latest being the single Turn The Party Out. Galesuping also played a part in the song The Good Life alongside former Generations character, Howza, last year.
