UCCSA Broadhurst Choir to host dinner

The United Congregational Council of Southern Africa (UCCSA) Broadhurst Choir is to host its fifth annual dinner and concert at the Maharaja Conference Centre in Gaborone on Saturday.

The UCCSA Broadhurst Choir will also launch their latest DVD at the concert, titled Bolelang Mo Dichabeng, which will be given to the dinners.  The choir promises to give a sterling performance with a live band.  As it has become the norm, the UCCSA Broadhurst Choir will engage a traditional dance group during their performances.  And while previously they used Mogwana Dance Troupe, this time around they have decided to settle for another traditional ensemble, Seragantshwana, and other traditional dancers.

Proceeds will be channelled towards the church's outreach projects for the disadvantaged. The choir will also perform an original composition dedicated to the Zebras, titled Dipitsi.  The choir's public relations officer Barbara Ramolefhe said that with Zebras' recent qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea next year, the choir saw the need to compose a song celebrating the national team's success.
