Delazy, who is the granddaughter of Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi, is expected to pull crowds to the show as her music that is a fusion of soul, jazz, electro with a blend of pop is currently making waves both in South Africa and internationally. This will be Delazy's first performance in Botswana. Speaking to Showbiz, the co-founder of the event Tumelo Lekolwane said that Delazy is currently the hottest thing in the music industry in South Africa and everyone wants a piece of her. He is confident that Delazy will impress at the event:"We are working on forwarding her videos to Botswana Television (BTV) so that Batswana who do not know her are able to see what she has to offer. " Lekolwane further said that he and his partner, Vs of Icheke fame, decided on a beach theme because they wanted it to have an impact.
He added that since there is no beach in Botswana, them organising a beach themed party makes the beach within reach in the country and is something different people can look forward to each year. To add some flavour to the event that will be hosted at Lion Lion Park Resort in December, Lekolwane said there will be a beach volleyball tournament where players will be wearing bikinis, which he says are the appropriate outfits for beach volleyball.
