Three My Star hopefuls kissed the competition good-bye on Friday as the battle for the Top 10 spot intensifies.

Five contenders were up for eviction and had to battle it out to keep their places in the race. Boikanyo Sejallolwane, Mpho Ketlogetswe, Leina Rabasha, Boemo Mokgatlhe and Segopotso Tlhalerwa had the least number of votes and had pinned their hopes only on the judges.

DJ Sid gave his votes to Mokgatlhe and Rabasha while Kgomotso gave hers to Boikanyo and Segopotso. The last verdict lay with the competition owner Master Dee who sent home Mokgatlhe, Tlhalerwa and Ketlogetswe. Judges had observed that there was no doubt that Tlhalerwa could sing surprisingly she has been in the bottom three more than any other contender. Tlhalerwa's subdued performance last week could have been due to low morale. Another contender who still deserved to remain in the competition was Mokgatlhe.
