The Scotish Opera Crew in Botswana

The Scottish Opera Commonwealth Games project crew on Saturday trained locals on classical music at the famed Kgale siding spot, the No.1 Lady's Opera House.

The crew has been in Botswana since  the beginning of this month training selected  musicians on opera. The  operatic presentations by the various countries toured by the Scottish crew will be made in Scotland during the 2014 Commonwealth Games that will be held there.

The crew of four that left the country today have been visiting different schools and SOS schools.  They told Showtime they have enjoyed their visit to Botswana as they have exchanged experiences and teaching methods with the local teachers. Jane Davidson, a director of Education and Outreach Scottish Opera said that the aim of their visit to the seven Commonwealth countries is to teach young people some of whom will be joining the choir during the Commonwealth games.
