The Quiet Fire play honours Onkgopotse

'The Quiet Fire is a true-life story written and produced by Given Jikwana. It is a play that this South African theatre practitioner has dedicated to the late Abram Onkgopotse Tiro.

The young Tiro, who was a teacher died, on February 1, 1974, after being given a parcel bomb which killed him, by a young boy called Lawrence in Kgale, Gaborone.

"Tiro came from a small village called Dinokaneng near Zeerust. I have also written a book about this legend.
