The popular annual Letlhafula Festival returns

The annual Botswanacraft Letlhafula Cultural Festival will be celebrated on May 24.

The Ngamiland delicacy known as tswii, will be one of the new additions to the culinary menu. Tswii is a brown, vegetable-like plant, which is harvested from the river. This popular dish is often prepared with meat. 

One of the event organisers, Kabelo Nkhwa said that other new dishes include loleme (ox-tongue), mokoto and beans.  She explained that every year, they try to introduce new dishes that they have not offered, adding that the Letlhafula event is all about celebrating traditional cuisine.
