The Metrophones live in concert at Maitisong

A Metropolitan music initiative, the multicultural music band known as the Metrophones will on Monday evening stage their first ever solo concert at Maru-A-Pula's Maitisong Theatre.

The show is part of the ongoing Maitisong festival. The concert is themed, "Cant-Stay-in-Your-Seat, One Night Only" The Metrophones were assembled last year through auditions sponsored by the Metropolitan Life. The band has now become a fully-fledged live performance band, with some of the best musicians in local entertainment.

They specialise in cabaret, singing classics and hits across all genres. They have already shared the stage with Lira, BDF Bands, as well as performed at Botswanacraft, during their launch last year. The full 14-piece band features brass, guitar, keys, drums, percussions, as well as vocal set to sizzling tunes and classics from every genre.
