Thapong efforts bearing fruit - Bakwena

Thapong Visual Arts Centre coordinator Reginald Bakwena says his centre's efforts to fight for the visibility of the visual arts in this country are beginning to bear much fruit.

Speaking to Showbiz in an interview, Bakwena said so far this year, Thapong has visited four villages namely Bobonong, Tsabong, Gumare and Letlhakeng where they hosted workshops under the theme, 'Improving Rural Livelihoods Through the Visual Arts'.

"I feel we have achieved the objectives of these workshops because they attracted both the young and the old and all the participants showed enthusiasm to learn more," he said adding that now Thapong has taken its first steps to be in touch with artists in the countryside.
