Although all roads seemed to have led to the Desert Race on Friday, a select crowd opted to attend a performance by a new entrant onto the local music scene, Team Distant, at Bull'nBush.

People who went to show love and support to the newly formed music group had the time of their lives with the group delivering a performance to be remembered for a long time. The group consists of four house music producers namely; Kgosithebe Afroszent Toto, Omphile Baoki, Roy Kasale and Aaron Riise Motlhabani. The group's manager, Kgolagano Pukka Entaile, told Showbiz that people love their performances because of the variety of instruments they use such as; shakers, cow bells and drums. He said: "This combination makes the night crawlers go wild because it brings out each of our uniqueness and skills.  Each member produces a specific genre or specialises in that skill," he said.  He also announced the upcoming Team Distant concert.

"Team Distant is finally doing a countrywide tour to all cities in Botswana, thus taking their music to fans who cannot afford to travel to Gaborone to attend shows. We feel we have reached maturity age since our brand has grown and most importantly, people want to hear us even as far away as Maun," he said.  Touching on the attendance at the performance, Entaile was quick to say that they were very pleased with the reception they received from the fans.
"The people came and we were happy with the attendance because we achieved what we wanted to achieve - that is to launch our brand.  Those who attended appeared to be very satisfied and the love we have been getting from social networks has been amazing too," he pointed out.  Entaile said the band's next stop is Maun where they will be performing on July 5, followed by a performance on Julu 6 in Kasane. He looked back on the singles released by the band in December as tools that catapulted them to success.  The tracks, Oni Korota and Kave-Ngoma, have been on heavy rotation on the airwaves.
