Sushi releases House album

Unheralded House starlet Kay Sushi (Kozo Mabuta) has released a six-track debut album titled Lovers Of House.

The teenage musician has been in the studio for the last few months and is expectant of a suiting welcome in the industry. The album includes original  tracks from the young musical mind. "I've written all the tracks in my album and I'm quite positive Batswana will receive it well because I put every ounce of my energy into it," Sushi told Showbiz in an interview. Some of the songs in the 19-year-old's album include Mwana O MweKwahane, Siyabangena, a track that announces her arrival on the music scene; and We Are Proud Of You Guys, which congratulates the Zebras for qualifying for their maiden Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in January. But of greater interest is how the rest of her songs are related to love and relationships.

Love Blind, I Want To Be Alone and How Did I Ever Let You Slip Away all carry the same subject of love. She explains: "It's generally about life issues mostly relationships and situations that lovers usually face," she said.
