Splash festival disappoints fans

Fans of a popular band Splash were left frustrated on Saturday after the show started late - half an hour after midnight - due to a faulty sound system.

Some of the baffled fans had arrived at the venue as early as 6pm and had to endure a long anxious wait before they could watch the band on stage, whose performance did not meet their expectations.  The show which took place at Lions Park included Splash, Dalom Kids, Peacock, Matshikos, William Mthethwa, Linda, Sidney Mogopodi, Slindile, Ester M, Neo Maphaka and Phumi Maduma.

In efforts to calm situation, the DJ tried to keep the masses busy by playing the group's CDs but the fans, who had paid P100 to see live the musical troop in action got angry as time went on.  The sound engineers also tried to solve the problem by attempting to fix it but in vain.
