Shanky Briz is the new kid on the block

Rookie musician Sirishebo Nshimwe (Shanky Briz) is adding some finishing touches to his first traditional music album and is set to release it next month.

The eight-track album, titled Hard Worker, features songs sung in his mother tongue Sesubia. The 23-year-old, who hails from Kasane, sings in his language in the songs Bazooka, Induna and Seke Ulyi Yenza.

"I decided to stick to my language Sesubia. I take pride in being Subia," he told Showbiz. Shanky Briz has previously released a gospel album although he never made much of a mark with it.
