Nineteen disc jockeys (DJs) from Serowe and neighbouring village are expected to clash in the Serowe Battle of the DJs slated for Independence Day at Lady Khama Centre.

Speaking to Showbiz in an interview, one of the organisers, Leburu 'DJ 101' Gaepongwe, said that the show is organised to groom talent in the Central District and raise funds for charity as well. "We intend to nurture talent in Serowe and neighbouring villages. We are going to make sure that the eventual winner gets the necessary exposure by being given slots to perform at venues across the country," he said.

DJ 101 further said that there was need to help nurture talent in the district because most of the DJs that have made a name for themselves in the country were those mostly found in urban centres.
