Seabenyane artist with magic hands

A woman of many talents, Maungo Seabenyane is indeed an incredible walking piece of artwork herself. From the turban she wears on the top of her head to the sneaker-shoes she puts on, it's no wonder she calls herself a walking advert.

Seabenyane states that she calls herself a walking advert because she wears the clothes that she herself makes or retouches a bit to go with her sense of style. She adds that most of the clothes sold in shops do not fit her taste, which is why she resorted to making her own. After seeing her works, her hands can almost be compared to those of a magician. She does beadworks, paintings on both walls and t-shirts and tops and accessories like neckpieces, earrings, and headbands.

The young Motswana's artworks have recently taken her to New York, United States of America (US), where she attended an exhibition titled The World Comes To Plattsburgh hosted by ROTA Gallery and Studios. The event held last month was a collaboration between Seabenyane and Gharan Burton from the Dominican Republic.
