Legends of traditional choral music KTM, were on Saturday beaten to the title by an unknown Ramotswa choral group, Andante, in a hotly contested Heritage Month Competitions for the southern region.

The choral competitions, featuring nine choral acts, were held at Botlhale  School, near Glen Valley. The Ramotswa outfit, formed by some former members of Maikano serenaders,  will now try and wrestle the national crown from Serowe Symphony, who recently emerged winners yet again in their  regional competition.

Also suffering from the classy exhibition by Andante were last year's  Southern zone winners, Gaborone Youth singers, who finished 4th this time, behind Maikano serenaders. This year's  Southern Zone show featured acts from various  villages, unlike last year when they were made up of largely  Gaborone choral groups. Ramotswa, Moshupa, Sojwe, also had representatives this time around.
