Ramonyaku releases debut album

A third of Tripple R - a musical trio - which became an instant hit with its old man act, has gone solo. Arnold Sekgee popularly known as Ramonyaku, has released a six-track album titled Letlotla La Ga Khama.

The sleeve design tells a story with a picture of 'Rraarona Ramonyaku' riding a horse by an image of Old Palapye Church.The CD cover also carries images of the Serowe main kgotla. Ramonyaku explained in an interview with Showbiz that the sleeve narrates his journey from Malotwane to Serowe. He uses Setswana words creatively, be it praising the beauty of a woman or just simply appreciating Setswana culture. The title track, Letlotla La Ga Khama, celebrates a popularly held belief that Bangwato women are blessed with curvaceous figures.The song is quite friendly to the ear. Traditional music lovers here are treated to the beauty of Setswana language as well as good danceable music.

The song contains a few poetic lines like;
"Ke ne ke re ke a boa, ga ke boe, thakathaka batho ngwana yo o phukaletse a reng"
