Sensational Afro jazz singer, Punah Gabasiane has booked herself a place in the finals of the President's Day music competitions scheduled for the President's Day holidays.

Punah scooped first prize in the semi-final of the live band category held at Gaborone West mall over the weekend.  Punah and members of her group trooped on stage clad in white medical uniform complete with stethoscopes. This was in consonance with the theme of healthy living carried in her song, Botsogo, which is set to appear in her forthcoming album.

The first position in the semis did not carry a cash prize.  However, the first prize in the finals is P25,000, while the runners-up take home P22,500.  The third prize winner pockets P20,000 while the fourth position is worth P17,500.
