The delicious taste of samoosa dipped in tasty French sauce, and a wide variety of wine circulated to loosen up the mood for art conversation as the few art admirers braved the Friday night thunderstorm for the love of art and all that goes with it, at the French art and culture centre, the Alliance Franaise.

The colourful evening at the gallery somehow made up for the disruptions and near chaos caused by the thunderstorm and heavy showers that seized the town just moments before the much-publicised art exhibition by a talented young local painter, Kgomotso Batoko could start at the Alliance Francaise.

The delightful treat would soon make everyone forget about the pandemonium and get absorbed into the moment of wining, biting tidbits and engaging in sophisticated conversation about the new art on display.
