My Star competition getting stiffer each day

My Star competition is getting stiffer each day as contestants unleash all they have, to grab the prize money. The contestants have also been getting better each day, thus making it hard for the judges to decide or predict who will win the coveted prize.

This country's much loved competition proved to have stolen many people's hearts on Friday when Botswana Television (Btv) Auditorium was filled to the rafters leaving some of the audience sitting on the floor, whilst some preferred to stand, dance and chart from start to the end. For years this show has been broadcast on the local television making it easier to win more souls from across the country and beyond each week.

Over the past weekend the contestant were able to keep up with the good work as most of them proved to have worked hard as they treated the audience with their brilliant performances. Tshegofatso Serite set the ball rolling as she brilliantly performed Beyonce's song "Fever" which spiced up the diva's beautiful dance moves. This young lady was wearing black and white outfit and black stilettos, which seemed to have impressed Sidney Baitsile, who is known as a grumpy judge. Serite was lucky to have been able to amuse the three judges as they complemented her for the great performance.Sharon Sebonge, who also continued to entertain the audience with her sweet voice and performance, followed her. Even though Baitsile interrupted this young woman before she could dish out her sweet jazz melodies, this did not dampen her spirits as she unleashed her gift before the audience. He (Baitsile) did not approve of the microphone being put on the stand and tried to adjust it, which seemed to have not worked for the star as she then decided to let it go and took  plan B, that is holding the microphone instead of leaving it on the stand. Sid applauded Sharon for giving those beautiful performances, saying she was a star who can make it to any show in the world. All that Kgomotso Tshwenyego could do was to complement this lass for her brilliant performance. One Mmokele, who seemed to have acquired fewer fans amongst the audience, gave a solid performance, leaving them feeling guilty of trying to demoralise her earlier. Even though this time she came back stronger, the judges complained of her audibility, but still praised her for the hard work.  Vibrant and beautiful Amantle Ntshole continued to mesmerise her fans with her energetic performance as she danced to the beat, enjoying the rhythm and getting revellers on their feet to dance to the tune. This beauty made some to even forget concentrating on her audibility, though the judges kept a sharp ear and told her that they did not like the singing part as they hardly heard a word from the song she had been singing. Duduetsang Joel, who escaped being sent home, failed to impress the audience when singing Mr Wrong by Mary J Blige. This contestant left many frustrated as they said that they could not hear her voice. Even though Sid did not like the performance, Keabetswe "Master Dee" Sesinyi differed. He said he liked the performance and encouraged her to work on her audibility. Boikanyo Molefi shook the auditorium as he made everyone scream and sing along as he performed "You Make Me Wanna" by Blue. This talented and creative contestant made the audience eat from her palm. He left the judges out of breath as they complemented him for his best performance ever.
Sid who told her that she ruined his mood and made him lose the love for the song she had sung gave Amogelang Moatlhaping some cold feet. Even though the fans disapproved, poor Amo had to agree with whatever the judge said to her face.
