Musicians hail the Zebras in song

Everyone seems to be getting onto the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) bandwagon as the national football team braces for its debut at the continental biennial soccer showpiece.

Hip hop star Scar (Thato Matlhabaphiri) and his House-kwasa counterpart Vee Wa Mampela (Odirile Sento) recently released a CD with three tracks and three instrumentals dedicated to the gallant Zebras.

Scar, a self-professed football devotee, told Showbiz that the track was his own way of showing support to the trail-blazing Zebras.  "The Zebras have done a good job for us and all of us, as Batswana, have to find a way to get behind the Zebras so that we can come out with good results. Apart from being a soccer lover, I feel if we don't get the guys knowing that we are supporting them before they go then we will never really get that opportunity," Scar said.
