Music compiler explains issues of artists, songs and politics

This issue is far from over. Politicians have had a say, artists have explained themselves, but the dust has not yet settled. But maybe it's time to get the views of people actually expects in this field; those who deal in, play and deal with music everyday.

Drew Ciadhall Letsebe is a music compiler at Yarona FM; the first ever for that job around the local radio industry.He explains his job as being in charge of everyday play list of he shows. He examines music brought to their youthful radio station before it can be played; not forgetting that he also acts as an intermediary between the artists and the station.

Among others when artists bring their music to Yarona FM; they emphasise quality. "We don't necessarily accept music that appeals to the masses, but sounding music maters most," said Drew. The other thing is the criteria of the music brought; whether it falls within that target audience.
