Multi-talented Ratsie shines in theatre

Kgomotso Ratsie is not just a pretty face, but also a talented young Motswana woman who aims to succeed in theatre; a passion she has had since she was a child.

Ratsie who is a director, artist and actress has undeniable passion in what she does and this has contributed to the rapid growth of her career. She has volunteered to direct various groups from school, churches and even the community drama groups for the past years. "I directed Madikwe JSS drama group in 2006 and in 2009 I worked with St Bernard's Catholic Mission in Taung. I am also a scriptwriter; I directed and wrote the script for Taung community drama group. I have also directed Mmathubudukwane, Mabalane drama groups," she said with a smile.

Ratsie explained that since she started her career, all the groups she has directed made it to the top. She said it was either they get first position or get the second place. "I am currently helping Naledi Brigade who attained second position in Ramotswa three weeks ago, where they were competing with other brigades for the BOTA competitions," she said. She further confidently told Showbiz that she knew beforehand that her team was going to make it at the competition.
