Motamma seeks to empower refugees

FRANCISTOWN: Much like fellow celebrities across the globe, evicted Big Brother - The Chase participant Motamma Sesinyi spends most of her time signing autographs at malls and other public places around the country.

But what will make the 26-year-old celebrity and beauty queen stand apart from other celebrities is her unmatched desire to empower refugees in the country. Sesinyi is the reigning Miss World Tourism Botswana and the country's tourism ambassador.

Instead of capitalising on her prominence to benefit herself, Sesinyi has vowed to dedicate her fame to working with refugees in the country. Botswana is home to over 3, 000 refugees from the SADC region and as far as the usually volatile horn of Africa.
